The Toughest Letters in the Alphabet to Relate to Anything Fresh

There are some who would argue that Q, K, X, J, Y and Z are the toughest letters to conceive a subject for but I disagree. To me the vowels are always the toughest. Sure there’s A for Apple, E for Elephant or U for Umbrella but doesn’t it get boring to write about things that are so predictable? Well it does for me and that’s why coming up with something for the supermodel shaped letter ‘I’ has proved to be an almost insurmountable task.

Bear in mind I said almost.

Because insurmountable seems like a pretty great word to focus on right now. Right now I’m looking to prove it wrong. And you all know how I love me some adjectives.

Let’s start with this blog challenge I’m taking part in right now. In addition to this A to Z Challenge there are so many other pursuits that hold my interest. Hockey games, fun with friends, time with family, road trips with Matt, writing the sequel to Reckless Abandon, working out on an almost daily basis, getting started on a memoir I hope to publish someday, cooking healthier meals every night, working on the revisions and intros for my book of poetry I also hope to publish someday, replacing my wardrobe, painting the exterior of my house…the list goes on. So to some, adding in the daily task of writing a blog post might seem insurmountable.

Not to me.

Just a few months ago I was having all kinds of weirdness so the fact that I’m able to get back to work has felt reviving, refreshing and all kinds of awesome. Anything I can do to write something, anything, is going to take a front seat right now. I’m loving it.

Now, have I actually worked on my poetry book? No, not so much. Have I written even a single word of the sequel since early November 2012? Again, nope. What I’m going to focus on right now is this blog challenge. It’s pushing me a little out of my comfort zone by having to write. Well, my comfort zone of the past couple months spent sitting on my ass doing nothing productive.

Yeah I know all of that time can be classified as research for a writer, and perhaps I did need some time off to get healthy (in many ways), but I’d so much rather spend my days in my office clicking away while listening to Pandora than out on the sofa watching hundreds of episodes of Castle and Friends while playing Angry Birds.

Besides I almost collected 3 stars in every level now so why go back to keep playing? That would be lame.

Or maybe it just proves I was a tad obsessive.

And in need of some serious brain crash. Which I got in spades and now I’m enjoying capitalizing on being able to let go of the old stuff so I can tackle the new pile of stuff I need and want to do instead.

My friends who don't blog don't understand why I fit it into my busy day... I love to write and I would rather give up TV or other mindless activities so that I can give myself a voice;-)

Great post Jenn!!!

Yep, only I watched episodes of Storage Hunters. I have no idea what to write with J, K, or L but I've still got a few hours to worry about it.

I admit I'm struggling with ideas for some of those letters, but you've encouraged me! It's not insurmountable!

I think this is a great exercise for you to get your creativity back. So get out there and keep writing!

I found April last year killed my blogging mojo. I'm glad you find it inspiring. The rebellious side of me hates having to do anything, even I am making me, lol.

How about the The Extravagant Apple of Zooruna. Well, maybe not. What does a Bear know about anything?

Blessings and Bear hugs!

Every time I take a break and come back to it full force like this I'm reminded that this is what I enjoy writing the most. Don't get me wrong I love fiction too but something about blogging is so much fun!

Yuuuup! I heard that guy got fired or something because he was too vocal about the show being staged. Um, no kidding. Even if its "reality" tv its still tv.

Nothing is insurmountable! You can do it Danica. Thanks for the encouragement :-)

I was so desperate to get back into writing again I figured why not give it a shot. To me it seemed like if I could pull off NaNo two years in a row then I shouldn't have any trouble with 26 blogs. So far so good!

Well that could definitely take care of either of 2 letters, 3 if you're struggling with Z as well. Oh bears know!
